God is doing some amazing things at camp
as our campers and staff study prayers together. Below is
a short note from Bill Koch, pastor at Waverly.
We also wanted to share an update on one
of our cook's family. It has taken
over 200 volunteers doing all kinds of things from office work,
to cooking, to counseling, to directing and cleaning to make
camp a reality. Thanks to
each church and person that has supported God's work at camp!
PRAYER SUPPORT FOR CAMP COOK, MAUREEN CLEM
Many of you know Maureen Clem as one of the women who have
smiled and cooked for church camps for years.
Maureen's brother became very ill during CYF camp and many of
the camps have been praying for her and for her family.
Donald Shipley passed away on Sunday
and we knew many of you would want
to acknowledge Maureen's loss. Services will be held Wednesday
afternoon
at 1 p.m. at the Church of the Nazaren, 2113 Chicago, in Trenton.
Maureen's address is 707 Lake Manor Drive, Trenton, MO
64683
If you would like to send a card.
Maureen commented on how important the prayers of the camp have
been to
her. Please continue to life her and the whole family up in prayer.
EMAIL FROM BILL KOCH
Blessings to you Donna, Bill and staff!! Just want to send
you a note to thank all of you for summer church camp on
behalf of the church and our kids. What a blessing camp
was to our church! The ladies of the church voted to
pick up the tab on camp for the kids. What a great return
on the investment. Sunday, two young ladies came forward
to join the church, and more importantly, to accept Jesus Christ
as their Lord and Savior!!
These two young ladies had been
thinking about this for two or three months. They received
the encouragement and counseling they needed to make this, the
greatest commitment of their lives, at camp. God Bless all
of you who had anything to do with this wonderful camp. I
am sure we will have more young Christians going to camp next
year after hearing all the excitement from those who
attended this year.
Again, God Bless each of you.
