Dear Pastors,

I would like to invite you to a lunch compliments of our India Mission Team to meet Brother Henry Bhasker and his son Praveen.

Brother Henry is an Indian educational office and is the director of Good Shepherd Mission in Puttur, Andra Pradesh , India .  Wyatt Park Christian Church and others have been partnered with this mission since 1998. The mission consists of:

  • a home for 175 orphans
  • 30 elderly people
  • eye hospital and general hospital providing free care to the poor
  • 11 rural churches, staffed with an evangelist
  • respit care for lepers

The Wyatt Park India Mission Team has partnered with mission teams from St. Joseph , Mohnton , PA and Tulsa , OK and has traveled to Good Shepherd Mission in Southern India in 2000, 2003, 2005 and 2007

These mission teams to Good Shepherd help with medical camps and evangelism.  During our most recent trip the team was able to use a wireless laptop to created a Web log of their travels in real time during the trip.

This blog can be viewed at www.globalnim.blogspot.com.  The blog has photos and testimonies from team members during their trip.  I think you will find the pictures and testimonies touching. The blog is hosted by friends of the mission, Global Network for Independent Missions in Tulsa .

I also invite and encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to meet Henry and his son while they are in the area.  They are available for bible studies, lunch meetings, mens or womens group or for evening meetings.

Our purpose is twofold:  first to encourage our congregations in mission outreach and second to share this specific mission that is ministering to the poorest of the poor in rural South India .

Again, join us for a complimentary lunch to meet Henry on Thursday, July 5 at 12:00 Noon.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact myself or Dean and Jeanette Mausolf (Coordinators of the India Mission Teams).

Please RSVP to:

Dean and Jeanette Mausolf    816-232-7695

Scott Killgore                           816-232-3374

CAMP OFFERING

An amazing gift of 160 acres of land for a camp and conference center has been given to the Northwest Area by a faithful woman of prayer, Sharon Pulliam!  The land is near I-35 and Highway 116, north and east of Lathrop.  (The southeast border of the property is at 264th Street and Pulliam Road.  Although the land is currently in probate, we are beginning to raise funds to build what we believe God will use as a camp and conference center for children, youth and adults for years to come.

The camp offering you send with your son or daughter will help to purchase:

  • 5 +  rectangular light weight tables
  • 30 + sturdy light weight chairs
  • Gas BBQ grill
  • Begin raising funds for a tractor and trailer for hayrides¸etc.

.Be sure to watch for an announcement of dream walking opportunities on the new property.  If ideas for development, programming or fund raising come to you in prayer, please be sure to email them to nwareacc@nwareacc.org or call us at 816-632-2237.

Communion Trays At Savannah  Church

Our High School class is remodeling their classroom and in a small closet that is going to be closed off, we found 12 aluminum communion trays and 6 or so bread trays, although I think I know where the other bread trays are.  These are older aluminum ones, just not as shiny as our current stainless steel ones.  There are also 100-200 of the older heavy duty reusable plastic juice cups in the trays.  We are looking for a church or mission that might have use of these.  We’ll get them wherever they can be used.  I don’t believe they are in bad shape, although at the moment they are a little dusty and need some cleaning.  I don’t think there are any “tops” to the trays, or at least we haven’t found any.  When we found these, we thought that maybe some church in the Greensburg Kansas area could use them.  That might be too late, now.  We would just like to get them to some group that could use them.  Rhonda, at the church, will take any messages and take care of getting them shipped if we can find an interested group.  Call (816)324-3322 or email cchurch@savannahfcc.org
