If we have learned nothing else, it is that no Christian can be or serve without a robust spiritual discipline. Just as no Olympic athlete can just decide one day to win a foot race and make it so, neither can we Christians grow in Christ-likeness or do the work that is in our DNA to do without daily disciplines of prayer—all types of prayer. We are so fortunate to be alive in a time when a vast array of spiritual disciplines are available to us.
