NW Area Pastor

After teaching future educators for 32 years at NW Missouri State University, Sandi received a call to serve in area ministry – something that would have been unthinkable in the church tradition from which she had come. Her passions for learning and serving have shaped her work with global missions and a partnership with Disciples in central Mexico. She reads and attends numerous workshops on emerging changes in Church and secular culture and few have her ability to relate equally well with Disciples and independent Christian congregations. Sandi completed a mission camp in Chile with Elena Huegel just two weeks prior to the recent earthquake and she is working on plans to bring Elena to the NW Area to work with church camp and to offer consultation on the development of the Center for Lifelong Learning. When she is not visiting congregations and pastors, serving on the regional Vital Church/New Church Commission, or organizing the next NW Area Disciples work trip to Jerez, Mexico, she is busy with leadership duties for the American Association of University Women. Sandi organizes the Maryville clergy cluster and is a frequent participant in the St. Joseph clergy cluster. She is available by appointment.
